Hunting, Fishing, Boating, and Camping
Big
Lake National Wildlife Refuge is 15 miles from Marked Tree
near Manila. It contains Mallard Lake where the state record largemouth
bass was caught.
Lake
Poinsett State Park is 21 miles from Marked Tree. One of the
best bass lakes in the state, located near Harrisburg. The 640-acre
lake provides great fishing, and the state park on its shores
has camping, picnicking, including paved campsites with full hookups,
a screened-in pavilion, hiking trail and boat rentals.
Mississippi
River -28 miles
St.
Francis Sunken Lands Wildlife Management Area. Created as
a result of the New Madrid earthquakes of 1811 and 1812, the sunken
lands extend along the St. Francis River floodway through Poinsett,
Craighead and Greene counties. The St. Francis river is adjacent
to the Marked Tree city limits. It is a favorite water fowl hunting
area in the Arkansas Delta Byways.
Wapanocca National
Wildlife Refuge is 15 miles from Marked Tree. Good fishing
and hunting located 8 miles north of Marion. The 600 acre lake
has fishing for panfish and bass.

Tree Delta Area Museum
5,000 sq. ft.with four galleries including: historical, general
store, changing exhibit and 4 room replication of the old Verser
Hospital in Harrisburg.
Open 1-4:30 W-F; 9:30-12:30 Sat.; and 1-4 Sun.
The Marked Tree Siphons
Listed on the National Historic Register, these huge metal tubes
draw water of the St. Francis River over its levee so it can continue
downstream.
Delta Cotton Pickin' Jubilee
Held in the fall the event Includes historical displays, arts
and crafts, the "Great Canoe Race", antique car and airplane club
show, horse show, parade and more.
Hampson Archeological Museum State Park
, Wilson Arkansas
Collection of prehistoric Native American artifacts dating from
A.D. 1350 to 1700 by Dr. James K. Hampson and his family at the
nearby Nodena site.
Museum, Lepanto Arkansas
Features quaint displays of Delta history in replicas of old-time
stores.
Three Rivers Country Club
Private club which features tennis, golf, swimming and fine dining.
Open to non-members at selected times.
